Chicken Stock

Chicken stock is one of those things that is easy to prepare at home with fresh ingredients for very little money and it can be quite useful and add lots of flavor to several meals.  It takes at least the better part of the day to cook but there is only about 20 minutes of time that you need to be actively participating in its preparation. Sure, you could go ahead and buy chicken stock at your local supermarket, but for the most part those cans and cardboard packages of stock are filled with preservatives, sodium, and they simply just don’t taste as good or are as satisfying as something that simmered for hours at home.
